Rock Climbing 101

This half day outing is perfect for families, groups or anyone who wants to try out climbing for the first time.   The focus will be on shorter  “top roped” climbs for every ability level.  This is an excellent opportunity for those who are new to the sport. We will focus on safety, communication, technique and a variety of equipment.  All equipment included.

Rock Climbing 201

This course is designed to take the next step in rock climbing. Rock climbing 201 is for small groups that have a desire to bring it up a notch. We will cover equipment, route selection for your ability, multi-pitch climbing, and rappelling. You will become more confident in climbing, belaying, and working with climbing equipment.

Rock Climbing 301

Rock Climbing 301 is traditionally a small guide to client ratio. This course is for seasoned rock climbers that want to pursue climbing without a guide. Clients should have a solid knowledge of belay and rappelling skills as well as confidence on the rock. The course is dependent on the needs of the client. Learning to lead, building anchors, aid climbing, problem solving and generally anything the client wants to learn. This course is a minimum of one day, but could be multiple days if desired.

Testimonials

What They Say

“Instead of taking a short vacation we decided to “staycation” in Stowe and try something new. We were assured by the guides that we would succeed at Rock Climbing. Dennis and Greg were outstanding leaders; very encouraging, coached us on technique and taught us the basics of the sport. All three of us had a fantastic time trying different parts of the rock face and repelling. I would trust my vacation experience with these guides for hiking, rock climbing or ice climbing as they are extremely knowledgeable and just great fun to be with. ~ Karen N.
